Tuning is the process of optimizing a vehicle's fueling, ignition, and other subsystems for peak performance. Each engine is different from the moment it leaves the factory, and will see gains from a calibration written specifically for it.

Re-writing your calibration presents associated risks to your vehicle's ECU. To mitigate these risks, we only use reputable software like HP Tuners, SCT, and Hondata for tuning vehicles equipped with factory ECUs. We also tune stand-alone ECUs such as those produced by Holley, AEM, and Megasquirt.

During your vehicle's tune appointment, we start with a Pre-Tune Check, which is included in your tuning costs. This hour-long inspection is our chance to look over common trouble areas that will affect the quality of your tune and/or dyno experience.

From there, we'll dial in your ECU's airflow calculations, so that it can accurately deliver our fueling targets. With airflow and fueling calibrated, we can start optimizing your ECU to ensure your motor produces the power it should. Whenever able, we use our in-house chassis dyno to measure power increases and to ensure your engine's timing curve is correct. After calibrating your ECU, we adjust shift settings and fine tune drivability. By the time we are done with your vehicle, it'll have all new driving characteristics.

If your vehicle's calibration isn't far off to begin with, you will primarily see gains from drivability tuning and transmission settings. If you aren't sure if you need a tune, please take us up on a free consultation! We don't want to sell you something that you won't notice or benefit from.

All appointments must be scheduled online below.

Tuning costs are based on the time it takes to complete a calibration to our quality standards. To offer a predictable flat rate price for our tunes, they have been broken into tiers. Additional licensing costs may apply.

The highest tier your vehicle applies to will dictate the cost of your tune.

Tier 1: Stock and bolt-on vehicles

Tier 2: Vehicles with aftermarket heads or cams

Tier 3: Vehicles with aftermarket power adders (Turbo / Supercharger / Nitrous)

VIP Upgrade ($150)

We spend a lot of time going above and beyond to make sure our customer’s cars are dialed in to their liking in every aspect. We've always taken this further than our competitors and we have no intentions of stopping that. That being said, not everybody needs or wants to pay more for this. This additional support to personalize the tune is now optional. This is called the OnKill VIP Upgrade. You can opt into this for $150 at the time of your tune or anytime within the following 3 months. OnKill VIP Upgrade Includes: Break-In Tune Prior to full tune Personalization of your tune Cam Sounds E85 or Flex Fuel calibrations Transmission Shift Points Transmission Pressures Drivability Personalization Fine Tuning of Cold temperature drivability Eligible to sign up for our track side tuning events. Discounted Re-Tunes within 6-months

Dyno Limitations

Our Dyno is a Land & Sea Dynomite brand Dyno. It has an Inertia only roller. Our L&S Dynomite Chassis Dyno has machined in traction grooves to provide THE BEST traction on the dyno and is capeable of well over 1000 HP!

Vehicles must meet the following requirements or we may opt to street tune instead:

  • 2WD
  • Gas Vehicles Only (No Diesels)
  • RWD Vehicles can not exceed 16 Ft from front of contact patch on the front tires to the rearmost point of the vehicle (bumper or trailer hitch)
  • Tires that will be on the roller must be the same circumference around and must measure 6 Ft 9 in or less from the outside of one tire to the oitside of the other tire.

Break- In Tunes

Break-In Tunes ($250) are available as part of the OnKill VIP Upgrade. If you come back within 3 months of your break-in tune for your OnKill VIP Tune, this $250 goes towards your tune costs.

We offer $250 retunes within 6 months of your OnKill VIP Tune. Standard Tunes are not eligible for discounted retunes.

GM Vehicles

We use HP Tuners to tune most GM vehicles. Some GM vehicles have additional Costs associated with tuning them. Common licensing costs include: Vehicles Later than 2017 8 Speed or 10 Speed Automatic Transmissions Direct Injected vehicles Additional Controllers (Chassis Control Modlues, Injector Control Modules, Fuel Pump Control Modules)

Ford Vehicles

Ford has the option of two Tuning packages:

SCT is the most common tuning software for Fords and is our recommended software to use for tuning these. To use SCT, you need a hand held device for tuning. This device allows you to make changes to your tune, datalog your drives, check your codes, and have multiple tunes. This is a $400 Device that can be purchased by clicking here. Tuning costs are in addition to this device cost. HP Tuners HP Tuners supports many Fords and doesn't require the purchase of any hand held device. To find out for sure if your vehicle is supported by HP Tuners, please schedule a consultation on our site. Additional licensing costs may apply with HP Tuners. Common Licensing costs include: Vehicles Later than 2018 10 Speed Automatic Transmissions

Mopar Vehicles

We use HP Tuners to tune most Mopar Vehicles. Some Mopar vehicles have additional costs associated with tuning them. Common additional costs include: Mopar Vehicles 2015 and newer Licensing for 8 Speed, 9 Speed, or 10 Speed Automatic Transmissions

Stand Alone ECUs

This pricing aligns with your vehicle assuming it can already start and run. If it does not Start and run, there will be a $250 setup fee on top of your tune costs.

Other Vehicles

We support many other makes and models. To find out more about your vehicle's specific licensing and software options and costs, please schedule a free consultation.

What Octane should I run?

For many motors, the limiting factor in terms of power production is fuel quality. When having a custom calibration created for your vehicle, it's important to fill your gas tank with the fuel you will primarily use. We will be using data gathered from burning that fuel to calibrate your ECU. Any other fuel will make the car run differently, and less efficiently. While it is safe to run gasoline with a higher octane rating than your vehicle has been calibrated for, it is not good to run a lower octane. If your use case requires you to run lower octane fuels due to availability or travel related issues, your vehicle will need to be tuned on the lowest octane fuel that you will use.
